About this Project

Visual media analysis is the central activity of the media processing subgroup at the IMS. Expertise has been gained since the mid 1990ies. Today, our activities stretch over the areas of image understanding and video analysis and retrieval. Many projects are closely linked to activities in the forensic media analysis project. Typical tasks are video summarization, real-time video analysis and indexing of databases of big unstructured media data.
