Digital Television in Austria - Starting Experiences and Perspectives

Abstract

This paper discusses some starting experiences, state of the art and development perspectives of the digital television in Austria. The basic concept of the digital television has been described, as well as some problems of the pilot project in Graz, which was started in 2004. Then we outlined the equipment and technical solutions, which were used in the project. The possibility of the connection of the digital television to the Internet has been described.
