Virtual Reality Table Tennis Application

Practicum

About This Topic

Develop a virtual reality application for table tennis sports based on the HTC Vive setup. Includes a bit of hardware design (basically, turning a Vive handheld into a ping-pong paddle) and the development of a gaming application based on Unity or Unreal that (1) allows playing a computer opponent and (2) in an extended version playing against a second instance of the application. The app should include vibration feedback for hitting the ball and, potentially, an audiovisual tutorial. If performed as a diploma thesis, the project must include a user-based evaluation of the prototype.
